Cashless Payments Encouraged on Campus

Making purchases with credit/debit cards has become the most widely used form of payment. During these unprecedented times, 性福广场 departments are implementing new guidelines and standards to support social/physical distancing and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

性福广场 locations are encouraging patrons to use cashless methods of payment when making purchases throughout all of Georgia Southern University. Credit/debit cards, mobile payment methods (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay), and EagleXpress are just a few examples of payment methods to use at restaurants, stores and more.

Help 性福广场 and Georgia Southern #DoRight and stay safe this semester. “Go Cashless” when you purchase books, buy lunch or pick up your prescriptions from the health center pharmacy.


性福广场 Service Return to Campus Updates

Return to Campus 鈥 As each department of 性福广场 prepares for students to return to campus, we want to assure you that the safety of our students, faculty/staff and members of our university community. Please take note that throughout all of our retail and dining areas we鈥檙e encouraging cashless payments all at points-of-sale to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure your safety.

Dining 鈥 Dining plans have been adjusted to offer more to-go options and give students meals per week in the residential dining facilities. Through a partnership with Starship Technologies, delivery robots will bring your favorites from Market St. Deli, Starbucks, Sushi with Gusto and more to your location. Eagle Dining will also offer 3 & 5 meal dining plans aimed at providing commuters, non-traditional students, faculty and staff with an easy, affordable way to grab a meal at any residential dining facility while on campus. Cards 鈥 Eagle Card Services has worked diligently to get online photo submission links to new students for fall 2020. Some of these cards with pictures submitted after the deadline are available at each Eagle Card Center for pick-up and/or onsite printing. Purchasing an EagleXpress package or making a deposit ensures you have a cashless method of payment throughout Georgia Southern University. For more information, visit .

Health 鈥 Services offered by our health centers are available through telehealth visits as well as in-person. Please visit My.GeorgiaSouthern to set up an appointment and they will work with you to see if an in-person visit is necessary. Health Services will offer FREE COVID-19 testing for students of Georgia Southern University. For more information, visit .

Parking 鈥 Changes to the bus transit system on the Statesboro Campus allow Parking and Transportation to maintain safety and social/physical distancing guidelines. Masks are required when riding the bus, routes have been adjusted and seating reduced to ensure safety. E-Citations will be issued to reduce in-person contact. For more information, visit .

Retail 鈥 University Store now manages the bookstores on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. This creates a seamless textbook purchasing process for all students of Georgia Southern University. Curbside pick-up is currently offered on Statesboro campus. Visit for all your textbook and Georgia Southern merchandise needs.

Housing 鈥 Georgia Southern University students living in residence halls will receive two (2) masks, a thermometer and lanyards for free provided by the University. Guest visits will be restricted due to social distancing, but areas throughout each residence hall will be sanitized regularly to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For more information, visit .


University Store Assumes Operation of Armstrong Campus Bookstore

STATESBORO, Ga. 鈥 The University Store, a department within 性福广场 at Georgia Southern University,  will assume operation of the Armstrong Campus bookstore in Savannah, GA effective May 15, 2020. This means that textbook operations, merchandise sales and technology sales will go through the University Store and Tech Corner brands of the University. Georgia Southern鈥檚 agreement with Follett Corporation, the prior operator of the store, will be allowed to expire on the same date University Store assumes operation.

鈥淭he University Store staff members are excited to serve all Georgia Southern students, faculty and members of the University community, especially during these very challenging times,鈥 said Carlity Slatky, Director of Retail Services, including the University Store, at Georgia Southern University.  The store is responsible for supplying books, supplies and technology to students, faculty and staff on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah, GA and Liberty Campus in Hinesville, GA. 

Customers may visit GSUstore.com for all textbooks and supplies for Summer 2020, and the University Store is currently offering free shipping on all orders. In addition to having the largest and best selection of Georgia Southern gear available, the University Store looks forward to safely opening both stores closer to the start of the fall semester to better serve the University community. Change in Operations Due to COVID-19

性福广场 departments will be amending their hours and operations throughout the university will adjust in order to adhere to recommendations by the CDC, University System of Georgia and Georgia Southern University administration.

Housing

Students on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses will be moving off campus starting March 23, 2020. For more information, visit the housing website at .


Dining

Starting March 20, hours for all dining operations will change on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses until further notice.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (lunch), 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (dinner)

Both locations will offer customers a hot and cold option, dessert and drink. Anyone who presents their Eagle Card (student, faculty or staff) will be able to dine in these locations for only $8.75. Cashless methods of payment are encouraged (Budget Bucks, EagleXpress, credit/debit, etc.) but cash will still be received.

There will be a limited number of individuals allowed into the facility at a time to adhere to the guidelines presented by the CDC.


Eagle Card Services

The Eagle Card Services office on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses will operate normal hours of operation, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Parking and Transporation

Parking and Transportation Offices on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses will remain open during this time. Their hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The intercampus shuttle traveling between the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses will no be in operation until further notice. Statesboro Campus bus services will be suspended until further notice. Lot enforcement will be suspended for the remainder of the semester, except for ADA, university administration and service/delivery spaces.


University Store

The University Store will be closed through May 9 or until Georgia Southern resumes normal operations. Orders placed during this time via their website, GSUstore.com, will receive FREE SHIPPING on all direct from store orders. If you need assistance, please email ustore@georgiasouthern.edu.


Armstrong Bookstore

Armstrong Bookstore will be open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The store is still open to the public. Staff encourage students to take advantage of our free shipping for all online orders and are also offering free shipping labels for all rentals returns. If students visit our聽website,聽聽, they can find instructions for printing these prepaid labels at home.


Tech Corner

Tech Corner will be closed through May 9 or until Georgia Southern resumes normal operations. If you need assistance, please call 912-478-7744 or visit their website at GSTechCorner.com. Anything purchased on their website may be picked up at the store. Printing and Postal Services

Printing and Postal Services will operate normal operating hours on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. Mail delivery to university departments is currently limited to the following buildings:

  • UPD (both campuses)
  • DFS (both campuses)
  • Student Union (Armstrong)
  • Dining Commons (Statesboro)
  • Marvin Pittman (Statesboro)
  • Housing (both campuses)

All other departments can pick up mail & packages from both Printing and Postal locations. Delivery of large packages can be coordinated with Printing and Postal on a case by case basis by contacting Printing and Postal Services at (912) 478-5697 Statesboro campus and 912-344-3036 Armstrong campus.
